New Compute Module 4S boards in TuringPi 1?

Rasoi released new cm3 compatible Compute Module 4S. I have a yet unused Turing pi 1. Any reasons why the new modules would not work? Would be great if I can use them.

Is the default password really `turing`? SD card upgrade?

Ive been trying: - curl 'http\://turing/api/bmc/authenticate' -X POST -d '{"username":"root", "password":"turing"}' -k - ssh root@turing root@turing's password: Permission denied, please try again. root@turing's password: Permission denied, please try again. It's like my board doesn't have the password from the documentation (<https://docs.turingpi.com/docs/turing-pi2-bmc-ui>)... I flashed an SD card using the Raspberry Pi Imager 1.8.5 while flashing the TP2-Firmware-SDCARD-v2.0.5.img on it, the board doesn't seems to boot nor upgrade. I've changed two settings to have the SSH (<https://imgur.com/a/TnN4ab1>). The only thing that show up (without the SD card in it) is the old BMC user interface. I don't know what i missed in the documentation!

LED GPIOs for Turing Pi V1

Are the LEDs for each slot on Turing Pi 1 boards connected to a GPIO? I was wondering if I could blink them, e.g. to determine which hostname is in which slot. Thanks.

Version 2, 2.5 and 2.5.1

Is there a web site that describes the differences?

TuringPI & RK1 (16gb) - 1st Node up and running w/Ubuntu LTE Desktop

I just got my first TP RK1 up and running - only 'real' issue was HDMI switch on MB (all off for RK1, 1&4 On for RPi). For now is is running Einstein on Bonic while I get the other 3hree nodes up and running - node two burning right now - pain that it take ~2hrs... Only once so not the end of the world!

CM4: Problems with I²C

I have a Turing Pi V2.4 with a CM4 as Node1 and can't get I²C to work. I tried both busses that are exposed via the GPIO header (Pins 3,5 -> i2c-1 aka i2c_arm as well as Pins 27,28 -> i2c-0 aka i2c_vc). I also tried different cables as well as different I²C devices. Sometimes i can get the kernel to successfully initialize a PCA9548A multiplexer but when i then try to talk to devices that are connected to it i only get lots of communication errors. If i put the same CM4 module into a different carrier board everything works as expected. All the devices are successfully initialized and i don't see any communication errors. So basically I'm experiencing the same issues as described here [1]. I'm posting this here because i don't think the problem is with the CM4 itself but rather with the Turing PI2 or the Adapter board. Has anybody had success connecting I²C devices to a CM4 module via the GPIO header?
[1] ..<https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=359439>

Any progress on the HDMI issues on RK1 / 2.4 TP2 combo?

I only use 4k monitors now, so im still dead in the water with my RK1s, with no working video out. Any news from the Devs on what the cause is, and when the fix is coming?
Flashing RK1 on Node 1 -- cannot perform

tpi flash --image-path /mnt/sdcard/ubuntu-22.04.3-preinstalled-desktop-arm64-turing-rk1.img --node 1 yeilds Error occured during flashing: "No supported devices found" Please advise!!! Note: Using the web interface fails also but does not state why. Just says "Install failed." Note I am using v2.0.5 of the firmware. Also note, the ubuntu s/w is larger than a fat32 fs can use. I am using exFAT now. Should I reformat the sdcard to ext4?!??

Still looking for an experienced Rust developer?

Hi there, I saw a job posting for a Rust developer, but unfortunately when I clicked on it it showed as expired. If you are still looking for an extra Rust developer I would love to get in touch! I have more than 3 years of experience working in Rust full-time on performance critical applications. Contact me if interested :) [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

Does Turing pi 2 work with Orange pi CM4?
